What do you associate with Sweden? The Battle of Poltava, the ABBA group, the Swedish family or the Swedish wall? And it is also the birthplace of Anna Johansson, a doctor who has made a real revolution in nutrition, having produced a diet like the "6 Petal Diet".
The essence of the diet
You can immediately calm down, you do not have to eat exclusively six petals a day, a more varied diet and, in principle, does not include eating flowers. Although Dr. Johansson promises that in a week in his diet you can lose 5 kg, that seems like an incredible result.
One petal is a one day diet, when you can only eat a certain amount of one type of food. The order of the day is important, so you can also paint yourself a flower with six petals, write on each menu and serial number, and follow the recommendations strictly.
This, by the way, is the convenience of this diet. No need to guess what to eat. You clearly know your diet for the coming days.
This, to some extent, is a mono-diet, but the body does not have time to get used to one type of food and switch to energy-saving mode. In addition, studies have shown that a mono-diet that lasts less than a day is the most effective for burning fat.
Results in this diet are achieved through protein-carbohydrate replacement and a reduction in the number of calories consumed. You eat one type of food every day and don’t mix protein with carbohydrates, which allows you to break down fat more efficiently.
How can you cook food
Food can be boiled, stewed, baked or steamed, but it is strictly forbidden to fry or add oil. In addition, the authors recommend limiting coffee consumption to 1-2 small cups per day. Of course, no sugar. In his opinion, it is better to drink tea or mineral water without gas in an amount of at least 1. 5 liters a day. But you can’t drink liquid food, just 30 minutes before a meal or an hour afterwards.
And so that hunger does not overwhelm you, divide all meals into 4-5 receptions. And you don’t have to stick to a regular interval. Want to eat? Go and eat a little. Well, or drink green tea.
You can stick to the diet for two weeks in a row. But don’t forget to rest for at least two weeks before the next attempt.
With all this, diet is contraindicated:
- contain;
- breastfeeding mothers;
- With diseases of the liver, kidneys, pancreas, heart, endocrine system (especially diabetes);
- With anemia;
- With infection or soon after illness;
- Severity of any chronic disease.
However, although this is not a direct contraindication, it is difficult for you to follow such a diet if you are working out. Therefore, it is better to save it for the holidays.

seventh petal
No, this is not an optical illusion. And, yes, you read the name of the diet correctly. There are six petals and you have to change six types of diet, but there are important things like getting out of the diet. The day you realize you can do anything.
The main thing today is not to rest too much until you regain half of what you lost. Someone recommends going out gradually and advises for the time being to eat only the foods you eat during the diet, adding only a small portion of it.
Proponents of the radical method say that the easy way is not for us and suggest spending the seventh day exclusively on the water. Which of these two options do you prefer - choose for yourself.
Of course, you can just wave your hand and plunge into the world of delicious cakes once again.
Why diet is good
Does this diet help you if you decide to lose weight? Of course yes, Sweden is doing its best. If you try, you will lose weight by 0. 6 - 0. 9 kg a day.
Can you survive without damage? Also a positive answer. The diet is quite simple and allows you to eat enough to not look homesick and nostalgic on a piece of bread.
However, for all its effectiveness, "6 petals" still doesn’t solve your future diet problems. Six days of the diet will pass, and you will return to your normal diet again, and it will return the lost pounds to you. So, even if you are on this diet, you should see it as an opportunity to take a step towards a healthier future.
